Skittish

February 24, 2021

This platform was created during the pandemic from XOXO Festival co-founder Andy Baio. It’s meant to be a playful space for virtual events. According to The Verge, Skittish “looks like a cute version of social spaces in video games like Second Life” but has all the features to host online events. You attend as an animal avatar to explore your event world. Audio fades in and out based on your proximity to another person, just like IRL. Details about this new platform are still emerging so check back.

Best Feature: The playspace is conducive to exploration. The creator has a known trackrecord for cool events.
