Canvas integrates with BigBlueButton to provide a conferencing tool primarily used for virtual lectures, office hours and student groups. This makes the program is suitable both for teacher or student. During setup, you have the option to select the duration of your conference (or have no time limit), as well as if you’d like it to be recorded. Any participant, student or teacher can share their screen with the rest of the group. Meeting hosts also have the ability to record their conference so that they can provide feedback to each team. You’ll also be able to draw and take notes directly on presentations. On the side of the conference screen, there’s a public chat function to share questions or information with other participants. If issues arise, there’s also a 24/7 hotline for both students and teachers to call. This tool can be used on mobile devices, but the functionality will be greatly limited.
